CNY - Kusu Island Tour!
During this Chinese New Year, my family and I went to Kusu and St John Island! Hee... My family usually dont go pai nian one, so eveytime, public holidays = family bonding time. We'll go to places like zoo, bird park, sentosa and this time, Kusu and St John Island! Hee.. I dont think i'd ever been to these 2 islands, not in my memory, so i'm actually really excited to go..
We brought lunch over, since bro say there no foodcourt or shops one. Truth is, the 2 islands really sells nothing. But the place is beautiful.. Both places are now owned by Sentosa Group and typical of Sentosa, they'd beautify both islands to be garden like. Along the beaches are nice and clean grass and shelthers... Kusu is very small only, i think about 1 football field big, St John is slightly bigger.
Kusu Island (Gui Yu) is an island shaped like a turtle. Hence, many people like to bring their oversize terrapins and abandon them on the island as if the terrapins will feel happier there... Picture below is a pond filled with terrapins and some tortoises... We fed the little animals like white flowers found nearby. This is a part of St John island, linking St John to another nearby island name Lasage or something like that. Cant remember the island name...
Conclusion is, if you'd never been to these island, it's quite a trip worth going. Wont take you more than 1 day to finish walking these 2 islands, but it's a good place to picnic and play frisbee!
